What is Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy?

The Power of Ketamine

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) has the power to transform your mind and life. The use of Ketamine as part of therapy is a safe, legal, and evidence-based means of accelerating the process of therapy and can often be helpful when other treatments have not been successful.

It is particularly effective for treatment-resistant depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, suicidal ideation, and anxiety disorders. It has also shown benefits for people who are dealing with issues of aging and mortality. Best of all, the positive effects of this therapy typically occur right away during the dosing session instead of several weeks later, allowing you to greatly accelerate your progress and healing.

How Does the KAP Process Work?

If you are interested in learning more about Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), you can set up a free initial consult (in-person or virtually) to help you decide whether KAP is appropriate for you and to answer any questions you might have.

Once we decide to work together, the actual KAP procedure typically involves  three separate sessions, consisting of Preparation, Dosing, and Integration.

How Much Does it Cost?

At this time, Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is not covered by health insurance, although steps are being taken in that direction in some states.

I am currently partnering with Journey Clinical, a nationwide network of medical professionals who provide medical screenings and prescriptions for the Ketamine journey. Journey Clinical charges their own fee of approximately $350, which is separate from my own professional fee. You will be given enough Ketamine for two different treatment cycles (with each cycle including the three stages of Preparation, Dosing, and Integration).

My professional fee for these two treatment cycles together is $750.

I understand that for some, this amount may feel like a significant investment. My intention is to make this treatment available to those who can benefit from it deeply, while also honoring the value of the time, training, and care I bring to this work.

If this fee would create a genuine financial hardship, we could discuss possible payment plans or even a sliding scale fee (reserved for unusual circumstances where financial constraints are real and significant). I invite you to reflect honestly on your ability to pay and on the value you place on this treatment before inquiring about a reduced fee.
